The “Naka-Naka combo” debuted on the 57th annual program in 2006. Nakai has hosted the show five times in total, more than anyone aside from NHK announcers, while this will be Nakama’s fourth outing.

PUFFY’s Yumi Yoshimura back on the single scene
Wednesday 04th November, 04:51 AM JST

TOKYO — Yumi Yoshimura, 34, of J-pop duo PUFFY, has broken up with actor Nao Omori, 37, according to the current edition of weekly tabloid Shukan Josei. The pair started seeing each other in 2006 and moved in together last year, and were often spotted together shopping or engaging in other activities.

But the sight of delivery trucks outside their home in September was an ominous sign, and a large number of belongings were loaded on the trucks. A female neighbor said that there were always two cars outside the home, but on this day two cars became one, and Omori lived there by himself for a little longer before moving out too. She added the property is on the rental market for some 450,000 a month.

Yoshimura and Omori were reportedly close to marrying, after making a wedding reservation at a Tokyo shrine last November.

Thursday 22nd October, 03:00 AM JST

TOKYO — Playboy’s Miss February 2008 Michelle McLaughlin, 23, showed her form at an event in Tokyo this week to promote the Playboy Channel on SKY PerfecTV! The Californian beauty wore an aqua bikini that made it quite clear why she was chosen as Playboy’s Playmate of the Month in February last year.

She was joined by Channel Ruby star Yuzuka Kinoshita, 21, who was determined not to be outshone by her American rival. The voluptuous duo frolicked about on stage but McLaughlin had a little trouble getting up in her high heels after they spent some time posing for shots on the floor.

McLaughlin, a fan of the San Francisco Giants in Major League Baseball, said she also likes the Yomiuri Giants in Tokyo. When asked if she liked Japanese men, she said: “I like their dark hair, but they have to be handsome.”

The Playboy Channel (channel 900) costs 2,625 yen per month or 735 yen per day (from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m. the following day.)
